President - Michelle Slaughter Fall Playoff Brackets Minors - As of 30 Sep 08 Majors - As of 26 Sep 08 Juniors - As of 6 Oct 08 Chili Cook-Off/Closing Ceremony The 3nd Annual Dale City Little League Chili Cook-Off will be held on Saturday, November, 1st, from 2:00 - 4:00, location TBA. This is a great way to end the season, pick-up your awards, and enjoy some chili. Anyone may enter chili. Prizes awarded for the: HOTTEST CHILI; BEST ALL-AROUND CHILI; MOST ORIGINAL CHILI ALL YOU CAN EAT - Adults - $5.00 - Kids - $4.00 - (10 and under) - Family of 5 - $20.00 For more information or to register to bring chili contact: Michelle Slaughter at 703-615-8487 or email: DaleCityLL@comcast.net We would like to raffle off baskets this year at the chili cook-off and we are looking for your assistance. We have come up with the themes for the baskets and we are looking for help from the teams to fill the baskets. We have assigned a basket to each division and anything that you can provide to fill that basket would be great. Items for the baskets may be dropped off at the Concession Stands. You may do this as a team or as an individual. Juniors: BBQ Basket Some Ideas: BBQ Sauce, Grill Rubs, Grill Utensils, Apron, Hamburger Press, Basting Brush, Marinades, Oven Mitt, Any basic BBQ items Seniors: Coffee/Tea Basket Some Ideas: Starbucks GC, Gourmet Coffee, Coffee Grinder, Gourmet Teas, Coffee Mugs, Flavored Spoons, Flavored Creamers (Not Refrigerated), Flavored Coffee Syrups BOD: Day at the SPA Some Ideas: Massage Lotion, Body Wash, Candles, Massager, Pedicure/Manicure Kit, Loofah Sponge, Foot Lotion, Bubble Bath VBC Baseball, Softball & Pitching Programs for the Fall/Winter The VBC is offering two sessions this winter. Session One (ten weeks) begins the week of November 8th and Session Two (six weeks) begins the week of February 9th. Class offerings include hitting, pitching, catching, infield play, and overall skills instruction.
