President Larry Murphy and Athletic Director Scott Reynolds have resolved the field issues for the home games during the 2008 season. The beginning of a long term relationship with San Benito High School has begun. Andy Hardin field has been the home field for the Vikings for almost every season since the inseption of the Pop Warner program in 1990. Youth football has a much longer history at San Benito dating back over thirty years. District Superintendent Stan Rose understands the community's need to have our young children involved in positive structured activities that connect athletics and academics together.
Larry has agreed to eliminate post season play at San Benito to insure that all of our teams can play in the stadium for every regular season home game.
Hollister is faced with a lack of fields for our youth to play on and the conditions of the existings fields show much wear and tear. We need to invest in an all weather sports complex that will benefit the high school sports as well as our youth and community.
This weekend our paid attendance reached well over 1000 fans. Thank you for the support and keeping the high school clean.
Remember that these little boys and girls are our next generation of Balers.
