Dedicated to the development of youth athletics and to elevate our level of play to the highest caliber possible. Within a competitive environment, athletes learn the life skills of fair play, good sportsmanship, and respect. By teaching and reinforcing fundamentals, conditioning, commitment, teamwork, perseverance, and positive attitude, we provide our athletes the necessary tools to be champions in their sport and in life.

Parent Meeting
Dear Lightning Fastpitch Softball Parents, On Wednesday, October 8, 2008, our Annual Parent/Player Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Central High School All Purpose Room. That night we will also reflect on our 2008 accomplishments then share lots of information involving our 2009 season. We will address how LYA operates, our need for committed volunteers to assist at any level in our fund raising events and share how your fees are distributed throughout our organization. One topic that we have to review in advance of the meeting is today; you may be aware via this letter, visiting the web site or have received information recently from your team leader regarding the 2009 player fee payment structure. We are notifying you as parents that it is required for you to bring four postdated checks to this meeting for the following dates and amounts:
October 8, 2008: $200
November 15, 2008: $200
January 15, 2009: $100 (A. Grossi, V. Patterson, M. Schoenke, T. Webster, C. Willems, and S. Hermes Teams)
June 21, 2009: $200 (Tournament Volunteer Fee)
Our leadership will be prepared that night to answer any questions you may have about the organization. We welcome your communication and seek your commitment to offer a hand in any areas you can as we spring into the 2009 season. We appreciate your support of organization and we will see you on the 8th!
