Naamans Little League is part of Delaware District 2 and is located in northern New Castle County, Wilmington, Delaware. NLL will be starting its 52nd season in 2008, consisting of 40 teams in 8 divisons with approximatley 500 players ages 5-18. Its five field complex is located on Route 202/Concord Pike and Mt. EMAIL NAAMANS LITTLE LEAGUE UPCOMING EVENTS * Monday, October 13, 2008 - Board Meeting 6:30pm @Del Vets * Monday, October 20, 2008 - Annual Meeting 7:30pm @Del Vets - Election of President, Officers and Board of Directors of Naamans Little League 2009 RULE CHANGE Beginning with the 2009 Little League Baseball season, baseball bats with a diameter of 2 ¾ inches are no longer permitted for use in the Junior League Division of Baseball. Baseball bats with a 2 5/8 inch diameter are now the standard for all teenage baseball divisions (Junior, Senior and Big League). The "minus-3" requirement - overall weight (in ounces) of a bat can be no more than three ounces below the overall length (in inches) of the bat - remains in effect in Senior and Big League Baseball divisions, but is NOT a requirement in Junior Baseball. Also, in effect for the 2009 season is the requirement that all non-wood bats used in Little League Baseball Divisions and below shall be printed with a BPF (bat performance factor) of 1.15 or less. Freeze Frame Photos BUY A BRICK - BUILD A FIELD As part of our 50th Anniversary, Naamans Little League has started a Capital Campaign to raise funds to "rebuild" our T-Ball and Single A fields as well as make improvements to our Junior/Senior field. As part of the campaign our plans are to build a "Wall of Fame" and "Memory Walk". The Wall of Fame will honor teams, players, volunteers and major contributors to our league over the years. "Memory Walk" will be a patio area around the Wall of Fame. We are selling bricks that will make up "Memory Walk. Everyone can take part by purchasing a brick that can be inscribed with your child's name, family name, team, important date or memory. Buy a Brick Form is located under handouts. Print, complete and give to any board member or mail to address on the form.
