Tuesday, June 17 A Banner Year for North Venice
North Venice brought home banners in four out of eight divisions in softball and baseball in District 25. Softball swept three age groups (9-10, 11-12 and 13-14), and 9-10 baseball won a highly competitive 12-team tournament. Also, the 10-11 and 13-14 baseball teams made the final games of their brackets. Pictures of 9-10 baseball have been posted under "albums." If you have pictures from any of the softball teams, please post them as well. It's easy! Sectional tournaments are underway, and all of the teams are hoping to keep playing as long as possible.
Tuesday, August 12 Fall Ball at North Venice! NVLL will have a Fall Ball program this year. We will invite different leagues to participate in this program. The program is strictly instructional and will be a good learning tool for the 2009 season. If your child is interested in participating, please send an e-mail to James Altman (fireman044@msn.com) by Wednesday, August 20th. James needs to get an idea of how many kids will play and what age teams will be formed. Please be sure to include your child's age in your reply. The registration fee will be directly related to the number of players signed up. James hopes to have a better sense of the number of teams and players by mid-September. Please be on the look-out for additional information. Wednesday, May 21 Thank you to all of the 2008 NVLL Sponsors! Thank you to all of this year's team and player sponsors.
