CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 7/8 year old TRAVEL TEAM!!!!
2008 DREXEL HILL TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!!!
Congratulations to our 7/8 year old travel team in going 6-0 in the Drexel Hill tournament and bringing home the 1st place trophy! The boys played extremely well with fantastic defensive plays to stay in the winners bracket and eventually defeated the Brookhaven/Media team 12-3 in the final. "Hitting wins games, but defense wins championships" was the team's motto. The team continuously threw their gloves and bodies at their opponents' offensive attacks throughout the tournament, but even more so in the championship game as they turned three double plays to shut down the Brookhaven/Media attack. Great job boys!!!

GREAT SUCCESS IN HOSTING DISTRICT PLAYOFFS !!!
RTLL hosted seven district games at our facility. Teams from Aston, Media, Drexel Hill, Philadelphia, and other local areas were extremely pleased with the changes to the field, the new batting cages, the snack bar, and atmosphere that the RTLL provided their players. Special thanks to Art Risely, the McCrae family, Bill Saunders, and the Heiskell family for their dedication in getting our facility ready to host these important games.

Batting, throwing, or fielding Lessons by Jim Tully @ RTLL!!
Former Temple player and graduate Jim Tully will provide discounted lessons to RTLL players at Leedom field. Jim specializes in batting, fielding, and throwing lessons for players of all ages.
You can schedule 30 minute lessons at a discounted rate of $30 per 1/2 hour, or 4 lessons for $100.

General Membership Meetings
Will be held at the Little League Field House on the first Monday of each month beginning in March. All teams MUST have one coach present to represent their team. We highly recommend that all parents and volunteers be present as well. These meetings are put together for your benefit alone. Here you will have the opportunity to hear what the League has done and continues to plan to do. All concerns and issues are raised and discussed, with the hope of exploring ways to solve any problems that may exist. We encourage you to attend and bring your thoughts. |
