Welcome to the SBGC Rowell's Raiders Swim Club Web Site
In June of 2004, the Rowell's Raiders Swim Club joined forces with the Salem Boys and Girls Club. This has allowed us to continue offering a superior program at an even more affordable price. Here is some history on the Rowell's Raiders Swim Club.
The Rowell Raiders Swim Club began in September 1991 when Missy Rowell felt there was a need for a team to promote swimming for fun competition. The team began with 10 swimmers mostly ages of 9-12. Today the team consists of over 100 swimmers, ages 5-18. Abilities range from beginner to top New England swimmers. Rowell's Raiders strives to provide a competitive, yet fun program for all swimmers. It is our goal to develop young swimmers,while maintaining their interest in the sport, so that they will continue to enjoy swimming for the balance of their lifetime. Developing good sportsmanship, self esteem and commitment to the team are as important to us as the swimming skills themselves.
Leading the team is Missy Rowell who serves as Chief Administrator. Missy has over 20 years of coaching experience. As past president of the New Hampshire Swim Association,the Granite State Swim Association and the NENEAPC Swim League, Missy has gained the respect of the New England swimming community.
