Rob Costlow

Hello eteamz Fans,

Ahh, the warm weather is back...lawn mowers are running...ball games are being played non-stop outdoors...and the never dying sound of kids begging their parents for ice cream lingers in the air. You gotta love it (no, not the wacked out music of the ice cream truck). Summer is knocking at the door.

Summer, spring, fall or winter, the power of eteamz has caught on all over the world, from small towns to large cities alike. Check out a recent article, 'Team Web sites hit a grand slam', from the Express Times in Easton, PA. Click here to read.

Also, please take a moment to review another interesting and helpful article below. I'm going to include one or two articles each newsletter that should hit right at home with many of you. These articles will touch on different issues and facts that will assist with improving your game, workout, and even your eating habits.

One more thing...anyone see the movie Bend It Like Beckham? Was it good? Should I and the other eteamz members spend our 8 bucks to see? Please leave me and the other movie lovers on eteamz a message on the Team News & More message board.

Message Cast - This brand new communications feature is available to all eteamz site webmasters. Right from your eteamz web site Admin, you can configure groups of your site members, type in your messages and deliver them as telephone calls to everyone you choose...anytime you want. Click here for details and FAQs.

eTracker enhancement (PLUS sites only) - Due to many requests, we have recently added the option to remove guest email addresses from eTracker invitations. This option will allow you to hide email addresses associated with previous replies to your inviation. Therefore, other invitees will not see this personal information when replying to your eTracker invitation. You will find this option when creating or editing an eTracker.

Links with thumbnails - Previously, when using thumbnail images in the Albums section of the web site, there were no view full size links under each thumbnail image (to let a visitor know they can click and view the actual image size). If you're using the thumbnail feature, there will now be view full size links under each image.

Dealing with Shin Splints Dealing with Shin Splints

Stepping right back into play might not be the wisest thing to do, and we realize that by the amount of pain we feel during and after exercise. One source of pain is one of the most troubling problems in sports: the pain in the lower leg, especially shin splints. More...

101 with Ericha 101 with Ericha

Spring season is well under way, and we've received a lot of scheduling and roster related questions. There are also a lot of you out there that are just setting up your site. If that's you, I suggest reviewing the Admin Tutorial. You will have a rockin' site in no time!

Below are some of the top site related questions we've received during the last month:

How do I assign players to rosters?

How do I add individual player stats?

I have a League site, and some of my teams already have an eteamz site created. What do I do?
Not to worry, we actually encourage Team Admins to set up their own stand alone web site, so they have full control over it. You can add the teams to your League site as a site type of Listing, and make sure to enter a Web Address (ex. www.eteamz.com/myexistingteam) at the bottom of the Add Team page (this field is often overlooked, but was designed for this very purpose). This way, you can have the team listed on your League site, and include the team in the schedules, standings, etc., without having to change the existing team site in any way.

Are you using an ad blocker program? Be sure to read the information below.
There have been many emails/board posts regarding not being able to view your Sponsor and Banner folders, Email Verification pop-up, parental consent pop-up or pop-up announcements. If you have an ad blocker program or the add blocker turned on in Norton AntiVirus, you will not see those pop-ups. Once you turn it off, you will see the Sponsor folder, announcements, etc.

Who do you think will win the NBA Championship? Click here to take my poll.

As always, check out these cool sites I came across:

www.eteamz.com/FightingFish (look at the cute team pic, then scroll down to the logo, it made me laugh!)
www.eteamz.com/sobaseball (be sure you scroll down to see the comic)

Look out...your site may be next.

If you have any suggestions for the next newsletter, send an email to erichastips@eteamz.com.

    Grimsby Town Ladies
    eteamz All-Stars Winner
    Grimsby Town Ladies
    www.eteamz.com/gtljfc

The Grimsby Town Ladies Football Club Under 11 team has completed their first League season by becoming “Double Winner's”, winning the League Title and being undefeated this season. They have won all their league games and scored a massive 108 goals and conceded only 9.

They secured the League Sportsguard Cup in March against Brchwood Belles, winning 5 goals to nil under the floodlights.

The girls are a credit to the Club and their parents. A special mention must be given to the hard work and coaching of manager, Paul Farbrace.

Their first season? Are you kidding me? So impressive. Paul must be one heck of a coach (and has some excellent players). Looks like this is a group of future FIFA professionals. Feel free to chat about the Grimsby Town Ladies or any related topic on the Soccer message boards.

Send me a photo and description of your team, league or individual all-star. I'm looking for all-stars to highlight in upcoming newsletters. If I choose your team, league or individual all-star, I'll publish your information in the newsletter and give your web site eteamz PLUS free for a year.

Send your photo, description and web site address to all-stars@eteamz.com.

Summer is just about here. There should be plenty of time to try a new technique or even a new sport for some of you. Keep practicing and playing hard. Have fun and be safe.

    Until next time...
